CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT - CODE OF CONDUCT

South Africa's Consumer Protection Act aims to provide the consumer with certain rights and protection. Bookmark acknowledges and supports the Act.

1.THE RIGHT TO RECEIVE GOODS OF GOOD QUALITY AND SAFETY

Bookmark offers consumer goods of good quality for the purposes for which they are generally intended. The consumer has a right to return goods with the invoice within ten (10) business days. The book or product must be in its original, mint condition, without its appearance having been altered in any way. Certain goods carry a manufacturer warranty. If goods fail to satisfy, the manufacturer warranty will apply whereby consumer may return the goods (anytime within 6 months) to be refunded or exchanged. We will not sell you goods that are hazardous to health or could cause harm. Product information and usage instructions will generally be found on the product packaging.

2.THE RIGHT TO DISCLOSURE AND INFORMATION

Bookmark will provide adequate information so that you can make an informed decision about the goods you would like to purchase. We may not always address you in your home language, but will make the effort to explain all details to you in simple and plain language. No intentionally misleading material will be advertised.

3.THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE

Bookmark offers a range of good quality goods at competitive prices and we will not pressurize you to purchase any products you do not want. Sometimes it may be beneficial to purchase a combination of goods at a favourable price.
